Vic Tarasik

Technician, shop owner, author, photographer, lover of classic cars…these are some of the words used to describe Vic Tarasik. His career began in Western NY pumping gas, wrenching on, and racing muscle cars. In 1987 Vic opened a shop in his home garage and grew it to a fourteen-bay automotive maintenance and repair facility in The Woodlands, Texas. After nearly 30 years of successful operation, Vic sold his shop to pursue the next stage of his career. Training and coaching other shop owners to achieve their dreams has been a passion of Vic’s even when he was running his shop. Every shop owner will have a different dream, it could be spending time with family, traveling, or giving back to others; you never know what an individual’s dream might be. Tarasik’s desire is to help shop owners to achieve what he has…success today that translates to life after the shop. What Shop Owner Coach focuses on is the core of the shop, which is the owner. Developing and implementation of a repair shop’s best practices, leadership development of the owner, and life after the shop. Vic believes everyone deserves to achieve their dreams and that is what Shop Owner Coach is here for, to help each shop owner to identify and achieve their dreams.

Marlene Tarasik

Marlene, originally hailing from Western New York, recently transitioned from a fulfilling nearly 40-year tenure at ExxonMobil to pursue her passion for assisting automotive shop owners. Working alongside her husband, Vic, at Shop Owner Coach, she dedicates herself to empowering business owners with the vast expertise she accrued in corporate environments.

Her commitment to her clients mirrors the passion she has for her personal interests, which include cheering on her favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills, every Sunday. A true Buffalonian at heart, Marlene often reminisces about the region’s delectable cuisine. She particularly misses the ice cream, chocolate, pizza, and Friday fish fries that are quintessential to Western NY. Every visit back home is an opportunity for Marlene to indulge in these favorites.

In addition to her love for Buffalo’s food and football, Marlene is an avid traveler and scrapbooker, creatively documenting the fantastic journeys she shares with Vic. Her culinary skills also shine at home, where she enjoys experimenting with new recipes.

Marlene’s home is warmed by the presence of her two beloved cats, Boo and Percy, adding to the joy and comfort of her life. With her rich background and vibrant personal interests, Marlene is uniquely equipped to inspire and guide shop owners on their paths to success, making her an invaluable member of the Shop Owner Coach team.
